I came up with this recipe to enter in the Pillsbury Recipe Contest.
I didn't win but I now have a really great cookie recipe!
Mix 1 roll Sugar Cookie Dough with 2 Tablespoons apricot preserves and 1/8 teaspoon almond extract. Spray cookie sheet with Pam, spoon 2 Tablespoons for each cookie on to cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until golden around edges.
Let set 3-4 minutes on cookie sheet, remove and let cool completely.
Mix 1/2 cup vanilla frosting with 1 tablespoon apricot preserves.
Frost cookies, place 1 teaspoon apricot preserves in center of cookie, top with slivered almonds.
